Chosen to Cultivate

Services

Sunday - 10AM Worship Service

Jan. 09, 2025

God's first command to humankind was to "Be fruitful and multiply" (Genesis 1:28) repeated 4 or 5 times in the Bible, and Jesus affirms this call in John 15:16: "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last." From the Garden of Eden to the paradise Jesus promised the thief on the cross, our vocation in the broadest sense is that of gardening—cultivating, adding value, and leaving the world better than we found it. Jesus came to set the garden of creation in order, how the church is a "garden club" for equipping spiritual gardeners, and how each of us can use our unique gifts to bear fruit in God's great garden. Are you active in this spiritual "garden club"? Join us as we rediscover our divine purpose and calling to cultivate (using our gifts to add value to the world) the here and now.
